About 3 days ago, I noticed a superficial line that was across my left pectoral muscle and I had speculations that I had torn a few muscle fibres on the surface of my pectoralis major. It was a little sore on that spot but I wasn’t in tremendous pain. So I went and saw a doctor today just to be sure that I didn’t do any major damage from working out. As the doctor was examining my chest, she asked “Is your chest real?”, thinking that they may be implants lol. I laughed and said, “Oh yeah, they’re all me, naturally.” Upon inspection of the said line on my chest, she said that it definitely wasn’t a muscle tear cause otherwise that area would be bruised and lumpy and that my range of motion would be limited. She said that it is possibly just a tear on my skin that’s a little deeper in the tissue. She advised that I take it easy with the lifting at least in my upper body to give the skin time to heal over. Had I really been working out that intense for my skin to superficially tear? So strange… I’ve never had this happen to me ever, but then again I did gain 7-8 lbs. in the last few months.
