Judging from Emporio Armani and Frankie Morello’s Spring/Summer 2011 collections, crop tops & leggings-inspired pants are the new trend. Sorry skinny jean haters but your gross bootleg pants are still not back in style. Apparently, it’s all about skin tight pants that almost look like leggings. I can’t say I hate this look because as a costume, I’ve worn leggings hiked up to the knees with hitop sneakers and I do love the look.

You’d have to be super fit to sport a male crop top and I’m hoping this trend does not trickle down to the average-bodied masses. It would be an explosion of “muffin tops gone wild!” This look definitely will only suit a very specific body type (ie. male models) so if your body is nowhere near that of a male model, don’t even think it!
